Manor Lanes: A Fort Lauderdale Favorite for Summer Camp Fun
If your kid has ever come home from camp talking a mile a minute about bowling, the food, and “that place with the cool lights,” they’re probably talking about Manor Lanes.
Every summer, without fail, we load up the vans and head over there—kids buzzing with excitement, already talking about strikes before we even pull into the parking lot.
It’s one of those field trips that just works. Every time. Rain or shine, first-time bowler or seasoned champ, Manor Lanes always delivers.
And honestly?
It never gets old.
A Place That Feels Like Home
Manor Lanes isn’t flashy or over-the-top.
Honestly, that’s what we love about it.
It’s cozy and familiar.
The moment we step inside, there’s this vibe that hits you—you know, like the kind of place your older cousins used to take you when you were little. It’s welcoming, it’s fun, and more than anything, it feels like community.
The lanes are always buzzing with energy, and the staff?
Incredibly kind and patient—which, let’s be honest, is no small thing when you show up with a group of 20+ kids who are more excited than a sugar rush on Halloween night. But they handle it like pros. Always a smile, always helpful.
And then there’s the food.
The Kids Absolutely Love the Food
Now, all of the kids bring their lunch with them when we go to Manor Lanes—but some parents choose to send a little spending money for the day. Totally optional, of course, the kids use it for the arcade and/or for buying food.
Listen, I didn’t think I’d be raving about food at a bowling alley, but here we are.
The kids love it—pizza, chicken tenders, fries . . . all the things —it hits just right.
What makes Manor Lanes special, though, isn’t just the bowling or the food.
It’s the memories we create there.
More Than Bowling—It’s About the Memories
It’s watching a shy camper light up after getting a strike. It’s the laughter, the high-fives, the pizza-stained t-shirts, and the “Can we come back next week?” questions on the ride back to the school.
Manor Lanes has become a tradition for us—a chapter in our summer story that we look forward to writing every year.
And if you ever find yourself nearby, looking for something simple, fun, and full of heart, I can’t recommend it enough.
Here’s to many more summers, many more strikes, and many more memories.
